Среди тех, кто внес наиболее весомый вклад в развитие лексики французского языка XVI века, неизменно упоминают Мишеля де Монтеня. В статье сделан вывод о том, что словарь писателя очень богат, он содержит большое количество обиходных, разговорных выражений.

Michel Montaigne is considered to be one of the writers having made the most significant contribution to the French language development in the XVI century. M.Montaigne's vocabulary is very rich containing a lot of everyday expressions.
