Информационные инновации решают задачи организации рациональных информационных потоков в сфере научно-технической и инновационной деятельности, повышения достоверности и оперативности получения информации. Сегодня для всех сфер бизнеса наиболее перспективно выглядят четыре направления информационных инноваций: дата-майнинг, информационная архитектура, управление знаниями и социальные сети. Существуют также виды информационных инноваций, присущие лишь топливно-энергетическому и минерально-сырьевому комплексам: государственный кадастр минеральных ресурсов, комплексные горно-геологические системы для горных предприятий, интернет-площадки баз данных.

Information innovations solve problems of the organisation of a rational information streams in sphere of scientific and technical and innovative activity, increase of reliability and efficiency of reception of the information. Today for all spheres of business it is most perspective four directions of information innovations look: data mining, information architecture, management of knowledge and social networks. There are also the kinds of information innovations inherent in only fuel and energy and mineral-raw complexes: the state cadastre of mineral resources, complex mountain-geological systems for the mountain enterprises, internet platforms of databases.
