Приведены результаты исследования золота из россыпи Эль Мониготе, находящейся в центральной части Аргентины на северо-востоке провинции Сан-Луис. Золото из россыпи характеризуется слабой окатанностью, малой мощностью высокопробных каемок и близкой (около 700 ‰) пробностью золота центральных частей золотин. Это свидетельствует о едином и находящемся на незначительном удалении коренном источнике, который, вероятнее всего, связан с вулканическим поясом, расположенном в нескольких километрах к северо-западу от россыпи Эль Мониготе.

This paper describes the results of a study of gold from placer El Monigote, located in central Argentina in the north-east of the province of San Luis. Gold from this placer deposit has weak roundness, lowpower, high-grade rims and a grade of gold (close to 700 ‰) in the center of the gold particles. This indicates a single gold source which is located in a few kilometers north-west of the placer deposit El Monigote, which is likely related to the volcanic belt.
