Веймарна «К учению о состояниях материи» представляет первую главу задуманного им и частью уже выполняемого труда о строении материи на основами данных, получаемых изучением так назыв. «коллоидального» состояния тел. Открытый Веймарном универсальный путь получения всевозможных кристаллических веществ (кристаллоидов) в так назыв. коллоидальном и аморфном состоянии принудила его выставить положение, что то и другое состояние присущи всем телам, и зависят лишь от степени раздробления вещества, а следовательно и от относительного развития поверхности и что, далее, иного различия между кристаллоидным и коллоидно-аморфным состоянием тела нет, и сделать попытку пересмотра наших представлений о природе вещества, исходя из приведенных основ.

Weimarn discovered a universal way to obtain all kinds of crystalline substances (crystalloids) into the so-called colloidal and amorphous state forced him to put forward the position that both states are inherent in all bodies and depend only on the degree of fragmentation of the substance, and therefore on the relative development of the surface and that, further, there is no other difference between the crystalloid and colloid-amorphous state of the body, and make an attempt to revise our ideas about the nature of matter, based on the above principles.
