Скоропостижно в вагоне умер студент Горного Института Ефимов (род. в 1872 г.). Ефимов поступил в Горный Институт в 1903 году, когда из 700 слишком держащих конкурсные экзамены было принято 93 человека из коих 25—с университетским образованием. Значит собственно по конкурсным экзаменам, со средним образовашем, поступило 68 человек. В нынешнем году собирался окончить Институт. Работал по 20 часов в сутки, но наконец надорвался...

Suddenly, a student of the Mining Institute, Efimov (born in 1872), died in the carriage. Efimov entered the Mining Institute in 1903, when out of 700 who passed competitive exams, 93 people were admitted, of whom 25 had a university education.
