Использование мотор-генераторной установки с маховиком (Ward-Leonard-Ilgner) в качестве главного двигателя синхронного двигателя продиктовано наличием гидравлической муфты, соединяющей вал главного двигателя с валом, на котором находится переменное напряжение. Установлены динамо и маховик. Указанная муфта заменяет автоматический регулятор скольжения маховика, работающий при постоянном числе оборотов синхронного главного двигателя. В этой статье дается описание установки гидравлической муфты, а также идея ее использования в системе Уорда-Леонарда-Ильгнера с синхронным главным двигателем.

The use of a motor-generator set with a flywheel (Ward-Leonard-Ilgner) as the main motor of a synchronous motor is dictated by the presence of a hydraulic coupling connecting the main motor shaft to the shaft on which the alternating voltage is located. Dynamo and flywheel installed. This clutch replaces the automatic flywheel slip controller, which operates at a constant speed of the synchronous main engine. This article describes the installation of a fluid coupling, as well as the idea of using it in a Ward-Leonard-Ilgner system with a synchronous main motor.
