Для правильного решения вопроса о характере напряженного состояния целика и испытываемых им деформаций необходимо иметь правильное представление о способе приложения нагрузки на целик, так как последний определяет характер деформации — пластичной или, наоборот, упруго-хрупкой. Кроме того следует иметь в виду, что самое вступление в работу новых камер, определяющее возрастание нагрузки на целик, происходит не сразу, а достаточно медленно и при этом без скачков, а постепенно. Достигнув максимальной величины — полного веса вышележащей толщи пород, — нагрузка не снимается с целика, а продолжает действовать неограниченно большое время, что заставляет при рассмотрении деформаций целика учесть и влияние времени. Таким образом, следует признать, что все условия загружения междукамерных целиков и сама работа нагрузки отвечают условиям проявления пластических деформаций.

Thus, it should be recognized that all conditions for loading interchamber pillars and the work of the load itself meet the conditions for the manifestation of plastic deformations.
