К ползучей деформации скелета грунта относят его медленную деформацию при постоянном напряженном состоянии. Этим видом де­формаций скелета грунта в обычном расчете осадки сооружения прене­брегают. Однако, как показывают экспериментальные исследования, эти деформации имеют существенное значение в процессе уплотнения грунта и особенно при расчете изменения осадки слоя грунта во вре­мени. При уплотнении грунта под действием нагрузки без возможности его бокового расширения, ползучая деформация скелета обусловлена смещением элементов скелета грунта одних относительно других и внедрения их в поровый объем грунта.

Creeping deformation of soil skeleton includes its slow deformation at constant stress state. This type of soil skeleton deformation is neglected in the conventional calculation of the settlement of a structure.
