Наиболее полные схемы тектонического строения Камчатки состав­лены М. Ф. Двали и Б. Ф. Дьяковым. Многочисленная группа вулканологов во главе с А. Н. Заварицким уделяла большое вни­мание вопросам дизъюнктивной тектоники Камчатки и Курильских островов. В познании тектонического строения Курильских островов громадное значение имели труды коллектива геологов и геофизиков-экспедиционного судна «Витязь». Кроме этих работ регионального значения, вопросы тектоники от­дельных районов освещались при различного рода геологических ис­следованиях.

The most complete schemes of the tectonic structure of Kamchatka were made by M. F. Dvali and B. F. Dyakov. F. Dyakov. A numerous group of volcanologists headed by A. N. Zavaritsky paid much attention to the issues of disjunctive tectonics of Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands. The works of the team of geologists and geophysicists of the expedition vessel “Vityaz” were of great importance in understanding the tectonic structure of the Kuril Islands. In addition to these works of regional importance, the issues of tectonics of certain areas were covered in various geological studies.
