Структурная зона Ветреный пояс представляет собой серию структур более высокого порядка и в региональном плане является юго-восточным продолжением Восточно-Карельской синклинорной зоны. С северо-востока зона Ветреный пояс ограничена Беломорским блоком гнейсов и гнейсо-гранитов, а к юго-западу от нее распространены гранитоиды Водлозерского блока.

The Wind Belt structural zone is a series of higher-order structures and is a southeastern continuation of the East Karelian syncline zone. From the northeast, the Wind Belt zone is bounded by the Belomorsky block of gneisses and gneisso-granites, and to the southwest of it are distributed granitoids of the Vodlozersky block.
