На примере пегматитов разрабатывались многие проблемы генетической минералогии, петрология и геохимии. Весьма весомый вклад в разработку этих проблем внесли видные ученые - представители геологической школы Геолкома - ВСЕГЕИ А.Н. Заварицкий, Д.С. Коржинский и Н.М. Успенский, впервые в отечественной науке обратившие внимание на ведущую рель в формировании пегматитов процессов перекристаллизации и метасоматоза.

Many problems of genetic mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry were developed on the example of pegmatites. A.N. Zavaritsky, D.S. Korzhinsky and N.M. Uspensky, prominent scientists - representatives of the geological school of the GeolCom - All-Russian Geological Institute - made a very significant contribution to the development of these problems, for the first time in the domestic science paying attention to the leading role in the formation of pegmatites processes of recrystallization and metasomatosis.
