В составе брахиоподовых комплексов девонских отложений Закав­казья видное место занимают спирифериды. Биострати­графические исследования, предпринятые автором в 80-е годы, позво­лили уточнить их состав и установить новые виды и подвиды.

Spiriferidae occupy a prominent place in the brachiopod complexes of Devonian sediments of Transcaucasia. Biostratigraphic studies undertaken by the author in the 1980s, allowed to clarify their composition and establish new species and subspecies.
