В связи со все более расширяющимися попытками использования системно­го подхода в инженерно-геологических исследованиях вырисовывается важная задача анализа и определения соответствующего круга понятий и терминов, на основе которых стали бы возможны постановка новых задач и поиски новых ре­шений.

In connection with the ever-increasing attempts to use the systems approach in engineering geological research, an important task of analyzing and defining the appropriate range of concepts and terms, on the basis of which it would be possible to set new problems and search for new solutions.
