The influence of pulp oxidation by acute steam on zinc flotation parameters is investigated. The pulp heating before the main and the 1st refining flotation operations allows to increase zinc extraction into the final concentrate from 73.9 to 78.5 %.
Three variants of computer balancing calculations of masses, based both on classical methods of the solution of systems of balance equations, the number of which should be equal to the number of determined indicators (usually according to the general sampling data), and on a new method, using the fractional composition of raw materials and separation characteristics of flotation operations, are investigated. The latter method allows calculations based on the minimum number of data (usually based on current sampling data).
