The article studies features of development gallery maintenance in zones of increased formation pressure in the Kuznetsk Coal Basin. Experience has been analyzed of applying the cable roof bolting in overworked development galleries in mining superimposed coal seams. Parameters of cable roof bolting have been determined which impact on its performance in conditions of increased formation pressure.
The article analyzes ways to decrease the influence of rock pressure by means of anticipatory weakening of roof rocks, as well as application of technical solutions to choose rational parameters of protective pillars, mounting and enhancement of mine working support.
