Since May 2023, the operating companies CrossRef and DataCite have not assigned DOIs to journals published by geological and other industry-specific Russian higher education institutions and research institutes due to their inclusion in the US sanctions lists.
Once the restrictions are lifted, DOI numbers will be assigned to archived articles and will continue to be assigned to new ones.
At the moment, all articles for the past year are indexed in the international scientometric databases Scopus, Web of Science, etc. Please note that in all companies and foundations that request information about articles as a publication report, the field for DOI is optional.
