Status and development of mining and enrichment of rare earth metals in Russia

This article analyzes and summarizes the current state of production and enrichment of rare earth resources in Russia, and provides prospects for the mining industry. The necessity of finding new deposits and intensify mining rare earth materials is formulated. Provides information about the production of rare earth metals in the world, analyzed data on volumes of processing and marketing of the resource. The main problems arising in this area are identified.

Interchamber pillars partial working off technology at the floor-and-chamber system of development of the korobkovsky deposit of KMA

Article is devoted to a choice of rational technology of mining of part of stocks interchamber pillars at floor-and-chamber system of development of the Korobkovsky deposit of KMA. Authors carried out calculations and comparison of technical and economic parameters of two offered technologies of mining: horizontal layers with a stowing in an ascending order with application of a portable equipment and horizontal layers with a stowing in an ascending order with a driving of autobiases in interpanel pillars. For a choice of method of development for mining of part of interchamber pillar and determination of its parameters and indicators.

Physical modeling of interchamber pillars fixity in Gubkin mine

Procedure of Korobkovsky iron-ore deposit new levels mining with the usage of physical modeling has been determined. Evaluation of interchamber pillars fixity in Gubkin mine and soil surface deformation in the process of lift mining and fractional interchamber pillars robbing on three levels has been carried out. After conducting geomechanical research the decision of foremost development and mining of bottom level reserve between –125 m / –250 m has been made.

Parameters of removing the overburden for deposits complex structure of carbonate rocks

The main features of the development of Open-complex structure of carbonate rocks. The dependence for the determination of dozing on the domestic heap career, moving overburden on bestransportnoy scheme in goaf. Found that the optimum length of excavator block executed by one parking dragline at quarries carbonate rocks is achieved with the minimum total cost of doing the work of overburden and waste associated with the removal of the overburden.

Gas emission control parameters determination for sublevel caving mining systems at the «Kiselevskaya» coal mine

The results of the aero- and gas-dynamics processes numerical researches for the sublevel caving mining system with mechanized roof support in conditions of «Kiselevskaya» coal mine are given in the article. Mining units quantity determination to achieve the established open cast output and averaging ore requirements

The balancing stripping ratio and ore production methods include simulation in order to reduce the prestripping waste and maintain a suitable space between each bench.  The reliability analysis method of mining technological system in mine design is discussed in this paper. The probabilistic approach used here takes into consideration the uncertainty associated with estimation of most economic, mining and geological variables. This paper concerns the rational distribution of reserves which can be mined and waste advancing down the open cast site at steep pitch deposit.

Physical processes methane formation as a result of coal disintegration

Considered are the thermodynamic conditions on the surfaces generated in coal cracks in the process of its destruction. It is shown that the temperature at the surface of cracks on the stage of destruction is comparable with the melting temperature of coal and ignition of methane. Ratios for the assessment of the development phase transitions on the surfaces of coal cracks. It is shown that the rate of methane in proportion to the total surface of the pieces of coal at de-struction. To reduce the amount of methane generation it is recommended to reduce the load on the breakage face.

Method of normal load prediction on vertical shaft lining based on nonlinear behaviour of rock mass

Method of normal load prediction on vertical shaft lining which is constructed in nonlinear rock mass is suggested. It is supposed, that limit state zone is formed around excavation. The deformation properties of rock mass in the suggested method are determined according to nonlinear rock model. In order to predict stress and strain state around excavation the equations of deformation plasticity theory are used. The Mohr-Coulomb strength criteria is taken as a yield surface.
