Estimation of influence of geological parameters on indicators of development of large gas deposits

AbstractForecasting indicators of oil and gas fields development is carried out using geological and hydrodynamic models. The geological model reflects the idea of the geological structure and is always consistent with the initial data accepted for construction. Development indicators are calculated in a hydrodynamic model built on the basis of a rescaled geological model. The array of initial data used in the construction of a hydrodynamic model, due to technical and economic reasons, turns out to be insufficient to adequately describe the variability of the reservoir properties of a real reservoir. The complexity of the description of filtration processes and the inaccuracy of numerical calculation methods also lead to a deviation of the calculated development indicators from their actual values. Therefore, for fields with a history of development, the procedure for adapting the hydrodynamic model is mandatory. The adaptation of the hydrodynamic model to the actual development indicators is carried out by adjusting the geological parameters in various areas of the field. Variable geological parameters are selected according to several criteria: impact on reserves, impact on development indicators, geological uncertainty of the parameter. In practice, the most common geological parameter used in the adaptation of hydrodynamic models is the permeability factor. On the one hand, the permeability coefficient does not affect the geological reserves of gas and, according to core studies, varies in a wide range. However, the influence of the permeability factor on development indicators may be insignificant. In this paper, one of the stages of the choice of geological parameters for the adaptation of the hydrodynamic model of large gas fields is considered on the example of the Cenomanian reservoir of the Zapolyarnoye oil and gas condensate field.
